Question, not a problem

I have installed Google Chrome and started using it in lieu of Firefox. I guess that's "normal" for 2017, an Netscape was in 1991! It's IPO estimated offering was like $19/share, but ended up at like $30/share, and made millions, but I'd forgotten, now.

Okay. When I do a Google search, and click on a result, I see that the chosen browser is Chrome.

I checked default settings and Firefox is checked. I can change that, but IF Firefox is the default, why is Chrome opening?
