One click Root with a custom ROM?

Hey all, so i rooted my phone a while back and i recently flashed the Cyanogenmod 12.1 snapshot. It works great but i lost root access somewhere down the line. So i was going to just unroot my phone and re root but i was unsure if it would work since i used a one click root. so my question is: Is it safe to root with this one click root with this custom ROM installed? and if not, could someone tell me how i should do it correctly? Im on a LG G3 D851 U.S model running Cyanogenmod 12.1 snapshot.
