Hi All, new forum member & new Droid 4 user.
I did some searches & reading, but did not see any answers related to this.

I moved my SD card from a windows phone.
The new phone said it needed to be formatted - I was not concerned, and allowed the new phone to format it.
What the heck - new phone fresh start.

a couple of days ago, I needed the camera and took some pictures. All seemed fine.
Later that evening, the Gallery showed black screens for those pictures. I think it said...

I finally left Apple & got a Moto Z Force a week ago & love it so far. The OS learning curve is pretty steep but I'm getting there. I have noticed an issue on the Moto I didn't have with the iPhone. Lock Screen doesn't

I have the LG V30. The lock screen requires a pin or fingerprint. When carried in my pocket it had started unlocking itself and doing strange things - resetting the alarm, opening the mail and trying to write letters, turning music on, etc. Yesterday it outdid itself. DropSync Connection & SD Card Error...

Has anyone here had either of these problems with the DropSync app from MetaCtrl?

Although DriveSync--from the same company--is fine, DropSync started having a server error on about August 3. When we uninstalled and reinstalled on August 13, it wouldn't write to the SD card anymore.

Internet connecting failure

BLU Studio 5.0C HD--Kk 4.4.2--Custom build version...BLU_D535U_VO3_Generic. On this phone, it says it's connected to the internet, however, most of the time it will not open/sustain a browser or web page. When it does finally 'connect" to the web, rarely does the "connection" last more than a minute(if even that long). Oh, and even to get it to connect, I have to activate "airplane mode". Can't install ssl certs from downloads on pixel running Android 9

When I try to install an ssl cert on my device from the downloads folder, the certificate is greyed out. I have previously successfully done this under android 8.

What do I need to do to install the certs under android 9?

The cert is from letsencrypt and is being used on a private email server (dovecot).

Saving Photos to SD card in Oreo

It appears I cannot save my photos when taken to the SD card with the update to Oreo. Anyone know a workaround; other than manually transferring them, or a photo app what will allow the saving of photos to the SD card.

I have a galaxy s7. When I use find my mobile (ring my phone) it always uses the same sound. Birdsong on the lake or something and I don't know how to change it.

Droid Turbo 2 Won't Charge, Battery now dead

My Droid Turbo 2 will no longer charge and the battery is now dead. I cannot start the phone up (blank screen) and pressing the power button + volume up/down doesn't do anything. I have tried to plug it into my computer using a USB cable which did not pick up the phone and did not charge it. I have also been using the charger that came with the phone but that charger doesn't work either. Help!

Moto Z Battery Expands Inside the Phone

My Moto Z battery just expanded within the case to the point that it cracked the screen and will not allow me to reset the screen back into the case. Since I have been using a Moto Z Mod(Mophie) auxiliary battery pack, I have had to replace two internal batteries within the last 10 months. The phone in its current condition still functions OK but is at risk of being contaminated by any foreign matter such as dust or water. Problems Playing MP3's on S4

I have mp3 music files in a few folders I created. They are sorted by genre. Used to be if i opened one of the folders and check marked all the songs there and clicked on one and hit play, they would all play in order. Now, no matter what I do, only the song I click on plays. So upset now could of sworn I ordered the Midnight Black Version of the 512GB, 8GB of Ram. Checking the papers and my receipt it is the Blue version with the yellow S-Pen. 3 lock screen button presses

Hello all.
I don't think there is a solution but I thought I'd ask.

I always lock my phone, for obvious reasons.

For some reason, android chose to keep the swipe up stroke, even if the pattern option is chosen.

That means every time I use my phone I must push power button, swipe up, then enter my pattern.

This is a major oversight imo, unless I'm missing something.

Fwiw, I can't use iris or fingerprint login since my phone is in the car mount much of the time.

Any thoughts?

can't access recover mode

can't access recover mode

I can get to the screen with the triangle and explanation mark by holding the X key when pressing the power at the same time
but nothing happens when I press the camera and the vol up button. I've tried a bunch of times with no success.
I just did a factory restore but that did not help.
Any idea's ?

Phone anxiety

I thought everyone loves using their phones... excitedly waiting for texts, phone calls, checking social media, etc. It never occurs to me that phone anxiety exists.

The fear and panic the moment your phone rings or whenever there is a need to call someone (like making important appointments), wondering if you'll do it or not.

"What am I going to say?"

Asurion Screen repair

I recently filed a claim with asurion for the $29 screen repair service on my note 8 but for the last 2 weeks I keep getting the run around of 'we see x amount of authorized service repair centers in your area but the part is not in stock so check back in 7 days' but they're quick to try to offer me the $199 device replacement next day. Does anyone have any advice or gone through this before ?

No More Droid Phones?

I posted a comment about this last week mixed in a long thread, but figured it may deserve it's own topic. Has anyone else realized that this is the first year since 2009 that there is no Droid branded phone being released? I'm surprised this hasn't been a News topic on the Forum. Verizon said the Droid brand is not dead, just that it didn't make sense to release one this year and there would be another when "the time is right". I'm not sure what that means, or why the new Z2 Play and Z2...

Would the P2 still be worthwhile this late in the game??

So I've been waiting patiently for my return to Android. Been on iOS for the last three years and I am pretty tired and bored of it.

So Best Buy has a pretty good deal on the P2 and P2 XL right now. $150 and $300 off respectively. No trade in or new line required. Add in the current trade in value of my 7+ and I could get the XL 64gb for $215 or the 128gb for $315. Broke up over 24 months of course.

Should I jump on this deal or wait it out for the P3? My worry is the P3 will not be...

Would the P2 still be worthwhile this late in the game??

File Transfer

I haven't found a good way to wirelessly transfer files back and forth between my phone and my computer using wifi that is very useful.

I've tried SwiFTP, which turns the phone into an FTP server. This worked once then never again. FTP server is another one, but had the same problem. Connection always times out.

I've tried Dropbox (along with DropSpace) but the speed is so ridiculously slow. I uploaded a 2.5mb picture to sync with my PC and and it took about 5 minutes.
