Updating music playcount

Hello, I'm new to the forums, and I couldn't find an answer to this question anywhere. I just got my droid a few days ago, and am very excited to have it replace both my old phone and my old ipod. It does great in all respects, except for one crucial feature. I've got my droid syncing with windows media player right now, but when I play a song on my droid, it doesn't update the playcount.
