Help restoring data from waterlogged phone

I dropped my Huawei P9 phone in water and now it wont switch on. I transferred the sim card to a new phone however i found that a lot of pictures, contacts, messages etc are on the old huawei phone and not on the sim card. Is there anyway i can extract all of these things from the huawei phone. When i try to switch it on it doesnt come on the screen just stays black
