XL2 bluetooth device switching

Hey all,

With my old V20, when I had my bluetooth buds on and started my car it would ask which device I want to be connected to. With the Pixel 2 XL, it does babushkas. I've tried an app that's supposed to switch devices based on priority but it didn't work at all. Can I get some suggestions for how to prioritize or switch BT devices?
