Can't add Messages app to unmonitored apps

I have an S7 edge on Sprint with v7.0, I am having some issues with not receiving texts, and one of the suggested fixes is to add the Messages app to the unmonitored app in the battery settings. I am trying to do this, but when I go to add apps, Messages does not show in the select apps list. Does anyone know how to get it in there?
