Restoring a recovery log on Lenovo Tab

Hi,

I have recently updated my Lenovo Tab and somehow it has completely wiped all my apps, docs and photos etc. I have accessed the recovery logs through the recovery menu and can view them and see that there is a recovery log for the day before I installed the update. Am I able to restore the device back to this date and in turn restore all my docs and apps etc? If so, how do I do think? I haven't backed any of the documents up to an SD card.
