The FTC and FCC curious why Android OEMs are so slow with updates

Interesting... it looks like Google's Android OEMs have drawn the attention of the FTC and the FCC because of their slow rate of Android updates: The FTC and FCC both want to know why Android manufacturers are so slow with updates

What do you folks think? Is this something regulators should investigate, or avoid sticking their noses in it?
