Phone question

Hey everyone, this isn't android related (sorry) but I was wondering.... My husband has an iPhone for work. They told him he could get his own phone since the one he has (company owned) won't charge anymore. My brother has a stack of old iPhones that he isn't using since he upgrades whenever they release a new one. But he has AT&T. Would we be able to use one of those on the Verizon network?
