Talk me away from Apple and onto Android

I've owned both.
Don't have loyalty to either.
I have to admit, Tim cook has gotten to me. My concern is security. Gathering "anonymized data"is fine, but how anonymized is the data?
And who would they share it with?
Basically, whatever I do with my phone is my business. Seems Android seems a little too eager to share personal info.


Thoughts, recommendations?
