Android + Samsung TV + MHL + Netflix

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question.

No wifi or internet. Phone has unlimited data and occasionally used for watching movies.

Have an Galaxy S7, Samsung TV, and a MHL adaptor connecting the phone to the TV. Screen is diplayed on the TV with no problem and displays everything. The Netflix app shows up, you can preview everything, you can select your movie or show to watch, but when the movie starts to play, the TV screen does black while the movie plays on the phone.
