Can I completely disable my phone speaker?

So I dropped my LG V20 a few months ago (very minor damages) and a few weeks later I was listening to music one day and the speaker started sounding distorted/staticky. It has slowly gotten worse over time, and now my speaker produces JUST static any time any sounds come out of my speaker, and sometimes when there is no sound.
