Magnet belt case wakes screen

I have a belt case that has a magnet to close case when I put the phone in case it wakes screen then I have to click power to get it to sleep again while in case or wait for sleep time to kick in.
I think the sliding in case padt manet is mimiking the wake phone finger gesture .
Any suggestions?
