Factory Reset Nightmare ZTE-ZMAX 2

I have a ZTE-ZMAX 2, (AT&T).....I got an update to my phone last night and really didn't like the changes it put on my phone, so I did a factory reset,bad move, I should have backed up my pics from gallery because there all gone, now the ones from drive are there, but my gallery pics are done.
I've been googling ways of getting them back, downloading apps, with no luck, if there's no way of getting them back, okay I learned a lesson, but I just don't want to waste time searching for a way if...
