Charging phone by wiring USB directly to phone terminals.
Dont have a battery and i am trying to power this phone up so i can get data off of it. Many tutorials describe how to achieve this with a USB cable, but i cant get it to work.
I stripped one end of a USB printer cable, and hooked the red wire to the positive terminal, and the black wire to the negative. Tried plugging it into PC usb slot, and phone would not power. Tried plugging it into the wall outlet, and phone would not power. Used a multimeter to see if voltage was on the wires......

Galaxy S5 in Bootloop After Unrooting
Hi All,
The problem is the following, I told my friend not to unroot since he doesn´t really understand the rooting process. He had someone else root his phone for him. He tried to do it on his own anyway and now he is stuck in a boot loop after unrooting. Does this mean he bricked his phone or does he has to factory reset in recovery and try again? I'm using Sprint, and recently I've hit the 5gb limit for the mobile hotspot they offer - got reduced to 2g speeds whenever I tried to use the hotspot, installed foxfi to get around it.

Hopefully this will see some traffic...I know the S3 is an older device now, but just need some clarification.

Z force here... I play clash of clans, war and order, Pokemon and Total Domination: Reborn.
I had a GS5 which I gave to my wife. I downloaded and started playing my games. On the display edges I have to press several times for game buttons to work. Is anyone having problems with their battery mod not charging to 100%? I have the Tumi mod and have had wonderful luck with it until the past couple of weeks. 1st off verizon has pushed the Android 6 update to my phone. I refuse to update because I've heard of some major issues with 6. Also from what I understand, in the new update, the quick launch apps are removed and have been replaced with just a voice command launch. I don't want the voice command as I'm always in noisy environments and its much simpler to just swipe the app that I need. Every time I reboot my phone I get a notification that my email app needs to have security updated. This started when I upgraded to FRG22D. I go into account settings and check allow all SSL and save the settings. But the next time I reboot the phone that annopying notification comes back. How do I make that stop? It's annoying.

CWM problems
Hi I'm new to this forum and I have recently on my Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 installed Rom manager and in there I used the option install clockwork recovery and it said it was installed but when I manually boot in to the menu it's the default menu so when in the app I hit reboot into the menu and it doesn't work yet again my phone is rooted as well so as you may notice I can't install custom Roma right now so I am quit frustrated by the fact I'm stuck with android 2.2 ya old right so if any...

So I recently got my Force, and as I'm going through setting things up, I've gotten the message asking to allow or deny Google permission for the location, and occasionally when I hit allow it says I need to go to settings and disable screen overlay...but for every app it's said this, that app isn't actually listed anywhere in the list of apps with a screen overlay?

I found the PERFECT phone charger to suit my family's needs while traveling.
I was at best buy a few weeks ago, and found a Belkin 4 usb port phone charger that plugs into the cigarette charger. At 9 amps, that is more than sufficient to charge 4 devices at once. Since in order to properly charge a single device, ot requires 2.1 amps at least.

Project Fi Test Group - Who's in ?
As part of my New Nexus adventure I plan on giving Project Fi an evaluation.
I'll keep my Note II on VZW for a couple of months and get Project Fi on my new 6P.
I plan on testing coverage vs. VZW by taking both phones out and comparing coverage.
My Area is a heavy VZW area and both T-Mobile and Sprint show much less coverage away from the busy Highway and City corridors.

Hidden gallery folders - broken screen (read on)
Hello all.
I have tried asking this question on two other Android forums and received no response . I'm hoping I have better luck here. Below is a synopsis of my situation:
- I use my phone for work and document many items into a folder which I then keep hidden via the privacy feature in the Setting menu. I have three folders of that type.
