Android File Transfer not recognizing phone

The AFT app isn't recognizing my DROID RAZR M. I deleted the app and redownloaded it, but nothing changed, if I plug into my phone it does not open automatically like it used to. I will then open the app manually, and it tells me no phone is found. What do i do? I'm on a mac running the latest software.

Any 3rd party messaging apps that lack settings to adjust whether SMS is converted to MMS, or sent as multiple SMS, refuse to work on my S7, MM 6.0.1, US Cellular.

So Hangouts, Facebook SMS & Signal Private Messenger for example, all lack settings to adjust how you want your messages sent.

Any time I send a text using any app like this, if the length of the message exceeds like 160 characters (or whatever the limit is), I get a failed message error and the message fails to send. I have to...

Now in my messaging when I go to tap the paperclip attached file icon it only gives me one option bitmoji...nothing else...it used to give me several IE: gallery, bitmoji, and others...how do I get this option back when I tap the paperclip?

I just upgraded from a Note 4 to a 7... wow, what a difference!

Expansion Card Issue

I just got a notification reminding me the microSD card had been removed! News to me - it is still in there but seems not to be 'seen' by the device! I have no music, movies, or pictures seen by those apps. This is not good. Anyone else have this happen? It has never happened to any of my older phones. This is however the first 128gb card I've used (it is a PNY I think). Not pleased after all the time it took to sync everything.

note 7 turning off on its own

I just bought a Droid Maxx 2 with Marshmallow installed, and before I barely had time to set it up, I received the latest update (it was about a week ago, I think). So, I'm not sure if I was receiving the notifications before the update or not. I ran across some other people (in other forums) having the same issues, but there were no answers.

My First OOOH moment with projector.

My wife and I took a trip this weekend to Gatlinburg, TN. The place we stayed in was nice. The TV was not very well placed or large or anything really. Not that we had time to just sit and watch TV, we did have a few moments right before bed after a 20,000 step day. We just put on netflix (and chill) and projected it on the ceiling. The picture even on a popcorn ceiling was very watchable. The sound from phone was clear even coming from about 1 foot above us on the headboard facing the wall....

There's a whole bunch of new users of the s-pen now that the Note7 is out but I want to pass along some oldies that others might not know on top of the new goodies. The following were done on an antiquated Note4 with L do yours might need slight variances in the method.

Little quirks?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge provided by work. I have installed a theme called Dazz UI from theme store.
When you go into settings, all the the icons are set to the color per theme.

However when I download it for the Note 7, same icons above show as black with a shadow. I am presuming this theme is not compatible with Note? Theme is free from Theme store btw.

Second, notification light sometimes don't show. Anyone having this issue?

Smart watch

I'm interested in a smart watch but I'm confused about a few things. I don't know anything about them. I was looking on eBay and saw some with SIM slots. I don't want a desperate plan for a watch. I want one to wear and not carry my phone directly on me but have it within bluetooth range to be notified about calls and texts. Maybe be able to take the call would be nice but not necessary. been using a different charger; is my battery ok??

So before I misplaced my original s7 charger at a far away friend's house, my galaxy s7 has had pretty solid battery life on what I would consider relatively heavy use(turning the data on and off and sometimes using quickcharge) I'd be able to hit like 15 hours. Now since I don't have access to my charger for awhile I've been using my s4 charging block along with the chord that came with my verizon elipsis 8 tablet (the free tablet with the phone)

Audio dropouts when listening over Bluetooth

I've had this issue since around the time Lollipop came out. Music intermittently drops out (or stutters) when listening over any Bluetooth device (never otherwise). Droid Turbo 2 compass

I've been having trouble over the past couple of weeks with the compass needle on my Droid Turbo 2. If I open Google Maps and the phone is in portrait mode, the blue arrow indicating direction spins counterclockwise quickly. If I turn the phone to landscape mode, it stops spinning and points in the general direction I'm holding the phone. Has anyone else seen this? Is this something I can fix or does the phone just need to be replaced? The phone is running stock Android 6.0

Hotspot switch in notification panel does not work

I can get the signal refresh hotspot method to work. I cannot however get the actual hotspot switch in the notification panel to work to turn the hotspot on. I have to queue up the hotspot settings and switch it on there. The notification panel switch does turn it off however..

Does anyone know of an app I can use that will delete all data from a phone, from a PC without having to get into the phone? I have to return this POJunk to seller, and the screen has completely failed. I would like to overwrite all data on the internal drive before I send it back.

I have already factory reset it remotely. Phone turns on, is unlocked, is seen by my W10 system and I get into it from there, but no display. I still would like to overwrite everything before someone else...

Battery didn't fully charge overnight

This has happened twice this week to me with my S6. I have a wireless charging stand (Verizon branded) that I'll set my phone on at night when I go to bed. And typically when I wake up in the morning the phone is fully charged. I'm usually in bed by 11, waking up at 6...so should be more than enough time to fully charge the phone, even if it were completely dead when putting it on the charger.

I opened the camera today and got the following message "to save your photos faster please use a class 10 SD card or higher " And then the Camera automatically closes and I can get no further.

I use the excellent Sync Me app SyncMe Wireless - Android Apps on Google Play to backup my phone. It's nice because it doesn't require root privileges for most files I care about. One of the tasks I have configured backs up /sdcard/DCIM/Camera. On Lollipop, this worked fine. Since upgrading to Marshmallow, no new pictures are backed up. When I browsed to /sdcard/DCIM/Camera in the app, no recent pictures show up....

I use the Handcent SMS app for messaging on a Galaxy S6. Recently I have noticed that the app is getting removed from the primary shortcuts. I have had to re-add this app to the primary shortcuts several times lately as it has mysteriously disappeared.

Galaxy S5 auxiliary input static noise help

I have researched this problem for quite some time. When I plug my galaxy S5( I have had 2 and one Galaxy4) into the stereo auxiliary input jack in my car, I get a static bad grounding noise. If I use an Apple, my daughters 5 and 6, no issue at all.
So, I got the 4 pole plug to ensure it goes into phone and is identical to factory Samsung headphones. No change.
I have cleaned it, no change,.
There seems to be a lot of "fixes", but I cant find an actual FIX.

Bluetooth Aggravation in Note 5 - help please!

My phone is attempting to connect by bluetooth with a phantom device (my old car) every 20-30 seconds. It rings a tone and shows me a notification that it cannot connect. I cannot find the pairing in the list of devices and I cannot make it stop! If I shut off bluetooth, the behavior stops. Earlier today I was reading an article by "The Ringer" on MKHB, and Maques was talking about how he cringe when he look back at his first video he ever made. I'm sure part of him would love to go back in time to fix those mistakes but the reality is those mistakes helped him grow to where he is at now. I read that he makes nearly 500,000 in ad revenue. Now I am not sure how accurate that really is but if he is even making only 10% of that I commend him.
