Noob...Dumb question

Verizon user. I currently have a Samsung S8+ on Verizon purchased from Verizon . I was wondering if I buy a NEW unlocked Note 9 from flea bay (Verizon model) can I just put my sim card from my S8+ into the note 9 and it work? Sorry for the stupid question but I don't know. Thank you in advance.
