Display question

I didn't change anything, on purpose, but my icons have a light colored and the bottom of my screen is less opaque than the rest of the screen.

Where I have several app shortcuts grouped together, the background is light.

It's not s life and death thing. Just wondered where this is controlled from? Not sure if this is part of adaptive icons, but don't think so.

Tried to upload a screenshot, but file was too large.
