I searched first... Can't find a way to install the updated youtube app from the market. Tried deleting from system/apps with root explorer, rebooting and the market app still won't install. I flashed back to cm 6 in nandroid and did the same (deleted the apk, reboot, install from market) that worked. Tried then taking that updated apk over to shadowrom. No dice. ideas?

I accidentally deleted a contact. I have contacts backed up,BUT, I DON'T WANT TO IMPORT a backed up version. I'm afraid that will double a lot of unnecessary information. I just want that phone number.

I can text everyone else, no probs.. but for the past 2 days, when I text my fiance, who also has Verizon, is on the same account as me and also has the Droid X2, he's not getting my messages.. they aren't sending. So we just got back from Best Buy. With no new phones. Says we need $125 deposit per line. We were floored. I have a credit score of 760 and my wife's is a 720. Plenty of established credit and everything is always on time. Those credit scores don't require a deposit IMO. Six years ago I got Verizon service and my score was around a 620 and I didn't have to put a deposit down. What gives???

Please help as I'm being slowly tortured.
When using my headset (standard Motorola headphones that came with the phone) my music/podcasts or even just silence are CONSTANTLY interrupted by the Google Assistant voice.
She says: 'When it's safe, you'll first need to tap the notification. Then you can let headsets work with the Google Assistant'
Once this starts, it just doesn't stop! Sometimes I'll get a few seconds more of my podcast inbetween interruptions but often the message glitches...

Hi, my wife wants an unlocked phone to continue using her t-mobile pay as you go thing. Her current phone is crap, so basically anything will be an upgrade. She is basically all about pictures of our kids and Facebook. Anything else is an extra. This is my first glass screen protector.....or my first screen protector ever.
It only has adhesive on the edges, and the very first thing that I noticed was if it lightly tap the screen with my finger tip, there is a slight "tick" sound coming from the protector contacting the screen.
Didn't think much about that.
But this tiny space between the protector and the screen is causing my touches to require different amounts of pressure, depending on where I touch.

Hello,
I have bought an unlocked samsung galaxy s5. It seems it is a phone from the USA, previously on Sprint network. I am using a Brazilian local carrier's sim card which is realtively new (4 months old). The phone is a G900P.04 running android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The mobile data is not working. Calls to the phone work fine, but no data.
I am trying to input the APN for my network here in Brazil (Vivo).
Every time I input the APN settings, and select 'save', nothing happens and the APN list...
I cannot input or save any APN details and my mobile data does not work. Please help!

OK - I've got two problems. Had the Droid since January and no problems until now (other than a mounting problem with W 7 - 64 bit).
1. Google sync is always showing an error on the phone. I've tried removing battery, unchecking and re-checking sync boxes, etc. Still get a sync error. Not sure what isn't syncing either. It always says "sync failed" or "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."

Good morning folks. I figured I would ask here since we have a large group of folks using different phone models. I travel a lot for work. The new area I will be traveling to quite often has horrible cell signal. Almost nothing at all, no Data and very weak basic phone signal. So I'm using my Sony blue ray player to mirror cast (from my lg v20) football games via game pass on my tv. Worked flawlessly all season. After the update, it says I'm connected but my screen doesn't show up. Only thing i can see that's different is there's a wifi direct icon on my phone now when i use mirror cast that want there before. It still works from my tablet etc...just not my phone.
Thoughts?

That music recognition is sick. Now it do not recognize everything all the time, but there are times I looked down at my phone only to noticed it picked up songs I didn't know or pay attention to it being played.
So post the songs your phone has recognized.
