Phone Problem or Android Problem help

I have the LG stylo 2 right now but this problem occurred on my last phone, older lg i cannot remember the model. The problem is these phones have thought my headphones were a headset only when the chord was moved. I mainly listen to spotify and this problem causes my songs in my playlist to skip really quick and since spotify has a limited number of skips I was out of luck there. Other effects of this problem it sometimes thinks im talking to Ok google, and it suddenly brings up the google...
