Android wired tether and Windows XP laptop

I have searched long and hard, and it must be late because I can't figure this out. Help!

I have a rooted 2.1 with UD v10 and am trying to do wired USB tethering (dont want to run down my battery). I am trying to use this

but every time I plug in my Droid it asks for Motorola A855 drivers, which I can't seem to find. I also seem to be missing some sort of client software...
