Verizon Z Force SMS issues

I have a Verizon moto z force. About once a week I randomly stop getting SMS. From all contacts. Once I restart my phone I start to receive texts, but I never receive the texts that were sent before I did the reboot. Software is up to date. I use textra normally bit have tried the Google messenger and verizon+ and it happens on all 3. I have done everything in my power, including a factory reset. Anyone help would be awesome! Thanks!
