Galaxy S7 Edge Randomly Stops Receiving Calls and Text Messages

Hi, My phone has been doing something quirky over the last several months. For no reason that I can find, voice calls go straight to voice mail and I won't receive any text messages. Restarting the phone does not help. However, if I make a phone call, it fixes the problem.. until it happens again. All my text messages will come flooding in and it says how many calls I missed. If I attempt to send a text message while this is happening, the text will just say sending... and keep saying...

Looking for a robust phone migration tool

When I moved from my S5 to my Pixel a couple of years ago, the Helium app was the only method I could find to transfer all my data (app no longer in the Play Store, etc.) from phone to phone. Now as I contemplate a Pixel 3 purchase, I can't get Helium on my to see my phone. My phone is running Android 9, has an unlocked boot loader, but is not currently rooted. Any recommendations?

VPN Issue

Not really an issue with the phone as much as a missing feature, but none of the VPN Profiles in Eclair allow you to enter the "Group Name" and "Group Password" that some Cisco (and other?) VPN configurations need.

If you know you need to enter a group name or password for your VPN connection, I haven't been able to find a way to make it work and everything I've found on the Internet has led me to believe it's not possible at this time.

DEX Solutions?

I have been looking for some time at ways to utilize Dex, especially when on the go. Thanks to the lack of HDMI input in pretty much......every laptop it there, it makes it kind of difficult. I saw a setup using a portable touch screen with a hooked in Anker battery. And then of course there's the ole monitor. Most recently I saw the Nexdock 2 on Kickstarter, which looked pretty good.

small black dot on screen

i think it started as a single stuck pixel. i could just barely notice it and it was kind of blueish. on the left side of the screen a little above the center. i tried the stuck pixel fixer app and no change. after a few days it turned black. a few days later it is solid black and has gotten bigger, about the size of the tip of a ball point pen. and now a couple days after that there is a thin white line coming from the dot and going horizontally across the screen. has anyone experienced...

Google Camera on the S10

I just installed the Google camera, mostly to try the "Night Sight" feature, and the result was amazing. I took a picture of my black cat who was sleeping on the floor and very little artificial light (just the monitor) and the cat laying in the hallway. Earphone jack quality

Anyone besides me have trouble with the 3.5 mm audio jack becoming intermittent (that is, not making good contact with the plug) on the Droid Turbo? The same thing happened on my previous Motorola phone, and it on that phone the jack eventually stopped working entirely. And no, I don't abuse it. I usually plug something in once a day most days of the week. After a year it's already getting flaky and I have to twist the plug just so and not move too much to listen.

Recommend solar charger?

Last Friday, I had a power outage that lasted just under 24 hours. My Droid 4 dropped to 30% battery. I want to buy a solar charger, but am unsure of what to buy. I looked at some on Amazon, but they all seem to get mixed reviews, with some people saying that they function properly and others that they take days to charge a phone using solar power. Does anyone here have a solar charger that works with the D4 that they would recommend?

Keep Bluetooth tethering on by default

The only way to connect my phone and S6 via bluetooth is to have Bluetooth Tethering enabled under Settings > More... > Tethering & portable hotspot. But when I disable BT on my phone and then turn it back on, this setting is always turned off. I'd like to keep it enabled if possible. Can it be done?

Thoughts on the S10 Series

I wanted to open up this thread for people to post their thoughts on the S10 phones.

I have had mine for a couple of days and love it so far.

-The first things that stick out to me are the screen and speakers. The sound and picture are amazing. Definitely going to be great for Netflix.
-The form factor is nice. I am coming from the Note 8, and the S10 is lighter and smaller with a bigger screen. My case of choice these days is the Urban Armor Gear (plasma) which I used for my Note 8....

Any one mining Bitcoin / Ethereum? I can't believe how much these coins have been going up in value over the past few weeks. I was into bitcoin a few years ago and then lost interest. If I only would have stayed in it!

I got to the activation screen and had a pop up appear saying to install a Verizon SIM. I don't have verizon. I then read online that I could press emergency and type in some numbers. Tried that and the emergency button is not working. Neither is the back button. I have wiped partition and factory reset from recovery to no avail. Anything I can do to get this working...

Got my Droid back in December, had an LG HBM 770 for a year or two before that. Originally the headset worked just fine w/ my Droid.

A week ago I got a replacement Droid (faulty headphone jack). I don't use my headset very often, and the first time I tried it, it acted a bit funny w/ the new phone - took a LONG time to connect to the phone. But no big deal, I never actually did any setup or anything, just turned it on and everything was automatic.
