Galaxy s9 screen deadzones

cnet is reporting that some Galaxy s9 phones are experiencing deadzones on their screens. Users are saying areas of the screen will not respond to the touch.

Numerous complaints on the official Samsung forums and all over Reddit (here, here and here) describe how portions of the screen won't respond to touch input.
