I currently have the flip cover that replaces the original back cover of the phone, and while I really really like how the flip part works and protects the front screen, I really need a thicker bulkier bodied case/cover to make handling easier for my carpal tunnel. Can't use mirror cast after the update?

So I'm using my Sony blue ray player to mirror cast (from my lg v20) football games via game pass on my tv. Worked flawlessly all season. After the update, it says I'm connected but my screen doesn't show up. Only thing i can see that's different is there's a wifi direct icon on my phone now when i use mirror cast that want there before. It still works from my tablet etc...just not my phone.

I have an s8+ and i recently have not been able to open youtube. It goes to tge furst screen likes its loading to start then just freezes there.

Turbo Battery replacement

I have had this turbo since day 1, in October 2014 and the battery is definitely showing it's age. I really like the phone and it does everything I need so, the question is , has anyone already replaced the battery?
I bought a battery for my Razer Maxx and paid a pro to install it but he failed. put the original back in and that was that. Soon thereafter I traded it.

Droid Turbo shuts off and won't turn back on unless plugged in

My Droid Turbo has been randomly shutting off. It started once or twice a day, usually while in my pocket. It's now grown to 10+ times a day, sometimes while I'm using it, sometimes while it's just sitting on the table, sometimes charging sometimes not charging.

verizon hotspot workaround?

I had to replace my Moto X pure edition. I went to the Moto Z2 Force. With the X, I was able to use the hotspot without a subscription. To use it with the new phone, they want to charge me $30/month. I am on an older unlimited plan that I do want to change from. The new unlimited plans are closer to matching what I get on the old plan. Is there any way to get around Verizon's fee and use the hotspot?

Smart Actions isn't working right...

I have some Smart Actions set up. One is my "default" action which is active 24x7. It disables my wifi and sets my ringer volume. I also have one for home, which is enabled when my GPS location is at my house. This Smart Action enables my wifi so my phone will connect to my wireless network. If I check Smart Actions, both rules are enabled and it says that my wifi is turn on by my "home" rule. The problem is, when I look at the wireless status in System Settings, it says my wifi is off. How are we not making a dent on 1000 up/down speeds?

With Google fiber rolling out to more cities I would have thought that with the threat of competition we would've saw more companies adopt broadband speeds close to that or at least half.

Incoming MMS video message always a QPS file

Safe Mode

When I press and hold the power off button and select start in safe mode, the phone restarts and won't allow a fingerprint, it requests my security code first. But, I can't get the keyboard to come up so I can enter my security code.
I forgot how to get around this. I might have deleted all fingerprints, or something.

Z2 Force notifications slow, installing slow

I've noticed in the last week or so since the last security update that some of my notifications have been slow. I've went through and turned off battery optimization for these programs without any Improvement.

One program notifies me buy alert when I get certain emails another is ring oh my front door bell.

Something else I noticed is when I snap on mods I don't get the confirmation sound until up to 5 minutes later.

Additionally when I try to install apps it lags for several minutes...

Hey folks, I've owned my Nexus 6P since June of 2016. I bought it new through amazon. I never had a sim card in it because I only use it with wifi and gaming.

Contacts Stopped Syncing

My contacts stopped syncing December 25th 4:31 A.M.
Everything else syncs. Only my Google contacts won't. I've cleared my partition cache, contacts cache, every cache I can think of.
I've removed a couple of recently installed apps that I thought might have changed something. But, to no avail.

I really don't want to delete the account and restore it as I'm afraid I'll lose the pics and logos associated with the 900 people and businesses.

My phone keeps locking when I'm using it !!!

When I am in the middle of using my phone, it will just dim the screen and lock ... like in the middle of me doing something.

I tried extending the screen timeout to 10 min and it seems to do it less. Is this some sort of bug where when the screen times out, it just locks regardless of what you are doing?

So now I have another question. I use the stock email app for my work emails, and the Gmail app for that. Sometimes, when I go into the stock email, it shows me my Gmail inbox. I did find that I can click the menu on the upper left corner and change the mailbox, but why is Gmail showing up there? Can I take it out? I don't care to see Gmail messages outside of the Gmail app. I didn't have this issue with the Moto Z but I don't know if it is the phone or oreo.

How to disable this?

So far, so good with the new phone, but yesterday I got a notice that a security update was downloaded and installed without my doing anything. It said all I had to do was reboot to complete it. I don't like the phone updating itself whenever it feels like it, is there a way to turn that off?

I find it interesting that fitbit and other fitness wearables are mapping out secret military bases when worn by their users while jogging. wonder how much longer wearables and smartphones will be allowed on secret military bases.
