I currently have a Thunderbolt with unlimited 4G. My wife would like to eventually upgrade her 'dumb' phone to a 4G smartphone. Since we are on the same phone plan (shared minutes and texts only), will I be forced into a shared data plan with my wife or will she be on the shared data plan by herself?

Upgrade from Android 6.0 to 7.0. Now clicks and pops with USB Audio
So I am on a Moto X Pure. It came with 5.1.1 and I upgraded to 6.0 with zero issues.
This Friday I did the OTA update to Android 7.0.
Its working great besides 1 issue. I have a car stereo that supports USB Audio from Android. I use a USB cable and plug right into the stereo as it allows higher sound quality than Bluetooth.
Now when I use my car stereo I hear clicks and pops in the music. I never heard this before on Android 6.0. If I switch to Bluetooth is goes right away so the problem...

People can't hear me
So randomly over the last few weeks people can't hear me on the phone. I can hear them but they can't hear me. Voice to text still works and Facebook calls work it's just the phone app... sometimes turning off WiFi solves it even though I don't have it set up to call over wifi... others it has to be rebooted.. Carrier is AT&T Note 8.... any thoughts?

Weird glitch with 'power down' menu. Please help!
I just bought a (refurbished) Galaxy S7 Active, and it's got a weird problem where the "Power off / Restart / Emergency Mode" screen keeps popping up at random, frequent intervals, as if I'm holding down the lock button. Has anyone had this problem, or know how to fix it? If it's a short inside that can't be fixed, is there a way to disable that menu from coming up? Thanks.

I do love that it supports quick wireless charging. I hate Vent mount ones but decided to go for it since at $65 it was actually LESS than the mount I wanted for my Mazda which makes it look stock... but it doesn't charge it.

Help! Text message history/automatically deleted text messages
I did not realize that my phone had the default setting to delete text messages from a contact once 200 messages were received. I have turned that setting off but is there a way to view/recover the texts that were automatically deleted? I've read on numerous forums that you can click a contact then go to their history and the messages will pop up. I've tried that but the only thing under my contacts' histories are their call logs, nothing with texts. Thank you.

How do I root a ZTE Maven 2
I have searched the net and this form regarding the lack of storage on the Maven 2 and potential solutions.It seems that I am not alone.
The AT&T rep in the AT&T form advises against rooting but doesn't provide a useful alternative to the lack of storage.
I have disabled all unnecessary AT&T bloatware apps. This disables them but doesn't remove them to free up storage.
I have searched for rooting instructions and am left a little confused. I tried to use Kingo Root but it didn't work....

had a google home update that required me to unlink my smart devices This included the wemo switches. in order to relink, I had to go around and press the button on then off on every single one of them. dont they know wemo switches tend to be located behind furniture, under tables and in other inconvenient locations. Google voice to text does not allow voice input
When using Google Maps (& anything using the keyboard input), I tap on the microphone icon so I can input text via speech. But now, when I do that, I get the white window with the green button in the middle & "Google" at the bottom, but I don't get the beep that tells me to start talking. If I talk anyway, it does not do anything.

My Droid Turbo is Broken and I just want my Photos!
I just bought a droid turbo for a trip to london, and I took all these absolutely amazing pictures, tons of pictures. I specifically threw down the money for this expensive phone for the nicer camera, had I not been just going to London I probably would've went with the Maxx or something instead.

Can anybody recommend a cassette adaptor for the car?
Earlier this year I plunked down over 100 bucks to have a aux line installed in my car to I could play my iPhod. Now I've got a useless cable as I sold the phone and am happily married to my Droid. On my old phone I was able to see what time a RECEIVED text was sent from the other phone and what time I got it. Now I can only see what time I get it. So if my phone dies and I get messages it just shows what time my phone is turned on. Any apps for that?

Cracked screen
I felt awful. I only had my 8 + for about a week. Coming out of a building, the music from the phone started playing for some reason. So I picked the phone out of my pocket to turn off the music when my foot caught one of those concrete parking lot dividers and down I went.

My turbo 2 has neither a screen protector or she'll case why does the newer phone require these extras sounds like a step backwards

Mobile Hotspot Not Connecting
I don't understand what is causing my problem. I have mobile hotspot set up on the phone and it works great everywhere except when I am in my office at work. I have great LTE reception but for some reason while I am in the office it won't connect.
The only thing I could think might cause it is my employer's wifi. I don't know if that would interfere in some way. I have disconnected from the wifi and "forgot" it on the phone but it hasn't had an effect on it.

Hello All, I used to have a Galaxy A5 and I had it paired to my Aftermarket Pioneer Radio in my car. I always left my Radio on the bluetooth source so when ever I got in to my car the radio would turn on sync to my phone and automatically start what ever the last music App that I had loaded on the phone. Usually Pandora or the google Play app. I never even had to take my phone out of my pocket. Skip forward to my new phone the Galaxy S6. I have my phone paired to the same pioneer head unit....

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here.
My issue is that when someone sends me an MMS with a photo, the resolution is reduced to a fraction of what it was when sent. However, I can send images via MMS at full resolution.
As an experiment, I sent my wife a 940KB screenshot. She has an unrooted Galaxy S5. I had her send it back to me and when I got it, it was at 27KB. I had her email me that same image and it was unaltered at 940KB. We are both with Verizon on...

Nvidia Shield TV do you still like it?

Change the Pixel 2’s Active Edge Action with Button Mapper

Apps to text from PC
I'm currently using MightyText, which I like, but would like the option to have texts goto "marked as read" status when I check them on the PC (which currently does not happen).
Any other good apps that people use/like?

My Droid Turbo is Broken and I just want my Photos!
I just bought a droid turbo for a trip to london, and I took all these absolutely amazing pictures, tons of pictures. I specifically threw down the money for this expensive phone for the nicer camera, had I not been just going to London I probably would've went with the Maxx or something instead.
When I got home, someone threw my turbo against the wall (don't worry, I'm safe and it's over). It doesn't appear damaged at first glance, but at certain angles you can see the screen is cracked...

Horrible,horrible battery life
Ok I got a design refresh from Motorola 1/2 a year ago. New phone supposedlty. Heres the the problem when I charge the phone it gives me a life of 48 hours. 24 hours later the phone has no juice. I have looked at my phones battery usage and nothing is out of the ordinary. Motorola said I should factory reset the phone, the problem is my wife also got a refresh on her phone and the battery life sucks also. I have the same apps nothing new was added. I can loose ten percent of battery...
