LG G4 Out of Sorts ??

My Son's LG G4 has become acting Out of Sorts.. He had taken a Charge Cord & Plug (2 Compatible Pieces ??) from a Drawer .. While Charging the Phone Pinged to Indicate an Incoming Text.. Still on the Charge Cord my Son attempted to answer saying Text was Received.. Phone became Out of Sorts, wouldn't Respond to Home Key , and Returned to the Original Background..
