Samsung device can't connect to AppleTV on ANY app.

Hello. I have two Android devices that where provided from MetroPCS (both are Samsungs), and I've been trying to get them to mirror anything on my Apple TV gen 3. I've tried just about every single app that has been suggested on numerous websites, forums, youtube videos and the like, but these android phones don't even seem to even see the Apple TV like it isn't there. I'm not as savvy when it comes to mobile devices, so I can't help but feel like there's something missing that MetroPCS...
