Virus on children's tablet- can antivirus software be put on microsd card?

My son has the Du Speed Booster virus on his tablet. I tried restoring it to factory settings, it does not take the virus off of it. I found two anti virus programs, Malware Bytes and Advest spyware removal, and put them on my microsd card. However, I can't figure out how to open them on the tablet. Any advice on getting this virus off a tablet? It shows as a device administrator, and I cannot find a way of removing it.
